Fui “representado” a essa música de ontem para hoje em um momento pra lá de especial. A música é relativamente simples, e justamente por isso que impressiona. Através da simplicidade de sua melodia e de seus versos, Elvis, com sua voz única e inesquecível, conseguiu atingir todos os corações do mundo (inclusive o meu, claro). Um fenômeno! Que voz! A Love Bizarre – Michael Hedges & Prince + Sheila E.
Conheci essa música através do mestre Michael Hedges. Sempre fui apaixonado pela letra e pelo fato dele transformar o violão em um instrumento também percussivo, passando pelas praias do New Age. Depois, descobri a versão original, que é do Prince e da Sheila E., que são de fato os compositores (dois MONSTROS por sinal).
Duas versões, dois absurdos, e dois mundos completamente diferentes. O melhor deles? Não faço a menor ideia e essa é a melhor parte. 🙂

A potência da voz da Ann Wilson é absolutamente incrível! Ela não só canta… Ela declama, confessa… É uma experiência única!
P.S.: Fiquei chocado com a letra. Basicamente, a protagonista transa com um cara desconhecido para engravidar, porque seu marido é infértil. O tal cara não sabe de nada disso. Foi usado. Só descobre que tem um filho quando vê novamente a moça por obra do acaso, tempos depois, carregando no colo um menino com os olhos iguais aos dele.

Reparem na letra, na guitarra flamenca… Fala do amor e da entrega sem limites e fronteiras para a mulher amada. Dispensa maiores comentários. Uma obra de arte!

Revigorante! Esse CD é de 2019, mas tem uma cara da década de 1980/1990 que me deixou com um sorriso de orelha a orelha! O guitarrista é o MONSTRO sueco Robert Marcello (garoto propaganda da Boss durante incontáveis anos e mestre da guitarra neoclássica), mas não é só isso… Há aquela vibe do Eddie (Van Halen), Vito Bratta (White Lion), George Lynch (Dokken), Yngwie Malmsteen, Vinnie Moore, apenas para mencionar alguns.
É música que não agride aos ouvidos e poderia facilmente estar tocando em todas as rádios mundo afora.
